Apparently, Microsoft does not want to miss. Windows operating system can be installed from a USB flash (although not install the operating system on a USB flash). Clearly, both these capabilities (in the operating system or install from a USB flash) requires the ability of the motherboard (exact BIOS) the computer to boot from USB, not from HDD or CDROM.

The problem is, if the computer is so old age and its BIOS does not support booting from USB, how to outsmart? PCplus recommend a Linux distro called Plop who is very small (72 MB) and is a Live-CD. Please visit http://www.plop.at/en/ploplinuxdl.html address to download it and burn it as an image onto a CD.

After the operating system is set up in the USB flash, change the first boot priority in BIOS to CDROM to the first order. Plug in a USB flash and insert the Live-CD plop into the CDROM, then restart the computer. Plop will display a dialog box will boot options on the monitor. Use the keyboard arrow keys to drive on the USB option and press Enter. Then, the computer will boot to deflect the USB flash and immediately run the operating system installed in it. Good luck and work.
